My new obsession is sweet/savory jams: Strawberries and basalmic vinegar and only a bit of sugar - reduced as far as possible. I ate my eggs & toast and cheese scones like a field hand - I just wanted more and more....
So since I had a HUGE crop of cherry tomatoes, yesterday I made a tomato reduction paste with the tomatoes, shallots, cider vinegar & honey - again, YUMM! I thought of adding spice (chile or paprika - maybe next time) this time I am enjoying the pure taste of summer... I cannot wait to make burgers or pork loin and slather this goop on
