i'm looking at the weather map, and it looks like a snow event for the Burgh and area's. Allentown, PA is showing 6 to 12 inches, and that's just a little less than an hour away from me. I'm praying we get some white stuff...:smile:....
 
jimmy, we got snow. kinda lite. 'tis sticking to pavement fer those of us here, fer now. i took a glimpse- roadways clear enough. pedestrian pavement- not so very clear yet.

I am so mad... They changed the forecast to snow and then changing to wintery mix.
30º out now. Great that you got some white cover.

When it is snowing, this house turns into a happy center. Can't wait!!
 
Local weather folks say we could get 6-10, NWS says 5-8. Both agree wind will be brutal and blow it around. May end up in hospital if my heart don't settle down. Pacemaker zapped the crap out of me yesterday and pulse has been racing all night long.:ohmy:
 
A nor'easter is expected to pay an unwelcomed visit to the new England Area tonight into tomorrow!

On the west side of NE over Albany, New York, will be snow. On the East side will be rain. We'll get the rain and some winds.

Thursday will be a little cold, but sunny & dry.

Sounds like you should take it easy for a few days. I've never heard of pacemakers doing that.

The temperatures here for this time of the year are all out of whack. It's not going to be a flip flop kind of Thanksgiving this year.
 
We only ended up with about 2-3 inches of snow but have 1/4 " of ice on everything. My pacemaker got me 4 more times including while I was at Sams getting a script for the new med to control it. Went to a new doc and new healthcare system today. Got my device checked out and adjusted as well as a new script for a drug the other clowns had me quit taking. I have been sitting real still as it takes 3-5 days for the meds to be effective. He made me promise to be good and no physical exertion till monday or I have to go inpatient. Temps are dropping like a rock and the wind is brutal behind this storm. We may get a little more snow off the lakes but they don't expect much. Glad to just let the plow truck sit in the barn and not worry about it.

Take it easy M-man!

I had a scare today with a chest pain while
I carried the wood pellets up stairs.
I got a little dizzy, and my vision started to blurr. I took a drink of water, and sat down. I burped, and got a mouthful of acid from the stomach. I took a couple enzymes, and I felt better. I still have chest discomfort, but it is easing up a bit.
I took some tums, and I'm sitting here relaxing now.

Got some good news. The car is in the shop and they ordered the crank position sensor. I couldn't do it. The starter has to come out to access it. DW won't let me crawl under the car anymore. Too crippled for that now. haaaaaaa!
 
Just checked and it is only 28° down here in Lower Alabama this morning and the high today will only be in the 50’s. Oh well it will warm up into the mid 60’s for Friday and Saturday. Even that is not warm enough for me.

Big chill hitting the south for sure. At least up here we have good heating systems and lots of insulation to keep warm. We are at 14 now and a cold NW wind. Most of the lake snow is missing us right now. To our east around Syracuse they are getting dumped on. I-81 north from Pa. will be a challenge today. The sun is shining off the coating of ice on everything and it is sparkle heaven. Trees are moving just enough to make it pretty to watch.

We are at 14 with light snow. Most of the heavy bands are still east of us about 20 miles. Tonight they say we could get into single digits and then warmer over the next 4 days. Not bad for this time of year. Fools standing around freezing to go shopping is ridiculous. No way will I ever do that again.
 
Down here in Lower Alabama the predicted high for today is 74° and tomorrow 76° . Now that is the way is should be!!!!
I bet there will be a lot of people out on the beaches today and tomorrow.

We got up to 42 but it was cloudy/foggy most of the day. Tomorrow and Thursday should melt all the snow. Then down in the 20's over the weekend and serious cold next week.

5 to 8" of snow for the area. Yay!....
12º out at 11:13 PM ... Winds are blowing the snow sideways. Love it!!!
Tina was itchy to get out there and drive around. She picked up lottery tickets, Milk and stopped at Dunkin Doughnuts and picked up a couple Boston Cream Doughnuts. My Favorite.
Tina looks in the bag before she left the drive trough, and the doughnuts were green icing and white stars. She said,"I ordered Boston Cream, and the girl said, they are...only with the Christmas Icing.
I like Chocolate Glaze....period. I had to scrape it off. It was horrible.
I can't figure why my wife would think I would go for green icing???? Grrrrrr
 
We are at -4 with a wind chill of -21. Don't think I ever heard my furnace run this much before. Got about 10-11" of snow but the wind is sure blowing it around. Been fighting some health issues so I had the Amish boys help me chain up the truck and backhoe. Going through wood at a record pace with these temps.
 
Current temp is 29, but the weather folks are telling us that it will be a low of 22 Monday and a high of only 39 for Tuesday. Way below normal for this part of the country. Don't know about the rest of you, but I'm ready for some warm, no make that hot, weather.
 
ONLY got 5 inches of snow... it's cold out 13º now at 10:30 AM
The two young college kids cleaned the drives and walkways, and broke through the apron to the street where the road crew plows had me plowed in. The snow is light, but the plowed street snow was mixed with salt. That makes it heavy.
The sun came out, but it's not melting much with the 13º out!
 
And it's still snowing!

It warmed up a bit. This AM it was 6º but now it is 18º
W. Channel called for rain and a high of 36º..... Uh! I don't think so.

Oh well...it was just another guess. I guess!! LOL
