What is Your Weather?

42 this morning but going to 75 today. Then down into upper 30's tonight. We broke a record last night and will again tonight. Wore a long sleeve shirt all day yesterday. Pollen counts are out of this world and I was hurting after weedeating and then pulling weeds in the garden. Need to run the bush hog along the lane today as the weeds are getting bad again.

Didn't it rain chill'en, didn't it rain!!
Down here in Lower Alabama, (a.k.a. by locals as LA) we have had 6.6 inches of rain since about 6:30 P.M. Friday until noon today (Sunday). Guess what? It’s still raining rather hard and the prediction for tonight and tomorrow call for an 80% chance of more rain.

Green Clouds showing on the radar on TV weather channel for the area; but just a few sprinkles. It's cloudy but bright and 68º out, even though the weather channel says 76º... ????

The kitties are snoozing.... MaMa Tina is snoozing, and GD worked 7 to 12 and she is snoozing too. Talk about gloom and doom! LOL..

It stopped raining at about 5:30 yesterday (Sunday) afternoon, and we had no rain overnight. This morning the SUN is shinning, but the Weather Cannel tells us that there is a 60% chance of rain both this afternoon and tomorrow. During the 48 hour period between 5:30 P.M. Friday and 5:30 P.M. Sunday we had just a tad over 7 inches of rain down here in Lower Alabama. Things sure do need to dry for a few days.

Dawg, send some rain over Texas way. At least here in East Texas. Man, we are super dry. But on the up side we have been cooler than normal. Feels like fall in the early morning. CF

We had a full day of SUN SHINE yesterday! First time that has happened in a couple of months. The sun is shinning this morning.
I was talking with a man from San Antonio (I know that’s not East Texas) Sunday and he was talking about how dry it was there and in the Hill Country.
Last night on CBS news they were talking about how much rain we had had down here in Lower Alabama, Mississippi and the Florida panhandle.
I can say that in my 78 years on earth I have never seen a summer where the temperatures have been so mild and there has been so much rain. Four of those years were in central Illinois and one summer was in northeastern Wyoming when we were volunteers at Devils Tower http://www.wyomingtourism.org/thingstodo/detail/Devils-Tower-National-Monument/2900?utm_source=msn&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=devils%20Tower%20monument

Looks like is should have just keep quite because not the bottom has fallen out and rain has been very hard for the last 45 minutes to an hour. Raining too hard to go out and look at my cheep little rain gage, but I would think that it as least an inch or more.

Weather, its not weather when its rained all summer in Georgia, its a change in climate...we had 65 degree days this past weekend.

It sure is nice to get a breath of crisp cool air.

I told Tina,"" open up the windows, and air out the farts!"":yum:

I like the upper 70's and low 80's, but it's still in the 90's here. I have one more lawn application for this growing season, but I'm trying to wait until it gets a little cooler.

FINALLY! IT COOLED OFF TODAY. Barely got into the upper 70's.
Wow!... Leni that sounds like a welcome kind of cool down.
Enjoy it!

Here it was a great day. 68º now and at 7:30 it is dark already!
Rain Tomorrow.... I hope early because Tina wants me to cut shrubs with the chain saw. ( Please let it rain!)

Now now. How many times has she cooked your favorite meal just for you.

Yes, the cooler weather is much appreciated.

Leni - I'm so glad for you that you finally got some cooler weather. Those 100 degree days are the pitts!

Cooksie - Congratulations on having your rain dance work - yay for your good hard rain storm! Better send some of that over to Embryodad - I can certainly identify with him not wanting to cut shrubs with a chain saw on a semi-warm day!! Maybe you can show him how the rain dance works, Cooksie. If not, perhaps we can transport some rain down to him on Sunday when we're expected to get a bunch! DW is stomping over it, too.
We had planned to toddle over to Loon Mountain for the annual Scottish Highland Games on Sunday but if we get the kind of all-day drenching they're talking about it would be a case of slogging around in mud up to our arm pitts and I'm not really up for it! So DW is stomping!! What can I do to cheer her up? Babysit all day and send her out with my paycheck in tow on an afternoon shopping spree? Have mercy!!

Ian

Picking the Amish boys up early this morning to cut and split wood. Rain is supposed to wait till afternoon around here. We do need some rain in the worst way as the ground is powder dry and the water holes are dried up. Sure are getting wet in Ohio as it slowly works it's way east.

Ian, I think Jimmy really needs to get those shrubs cut :yum:. We needed that rain badly. I bet Chilifarmer got some too, so he's probably doing the happy dance also.

A chain saw  - They're going to be bald! :weneedpics_smi:

Beautiful today but tonight the Santa Anna winds start. They will be 50 mph with gusts up to 60 mph. Humidty will be single digit if it registers at all. Major fire danger time. Think good thoughts please.
