We ended up with about 3 inches here. DD is on the other side of town and she said they got about 7 inches. There's a layer of sleet and freezing rain on top of it so it's a real mess out there. It's not going to get above freezing until Wednesday and then only briefly. They're talking about more "flurries" thursday and friday now. Good thing my pantry and freezer are well stocked.
It wasn't supposed to start till midnight BUT it has started already. I wonder if this means more or less snow. Or if it will last longer or stop sooner.
we have just a dusting here in DC/NOVA. . . should be just enough to make everyone drive like an idiot and really crew up the morning commute. Thanks be to God I am not going in tomorrow.
CC I used to ski here locally and also up at Badger Pass. Holiday Hill was very tricky because you could not see the bottom. The hill kept dropping away in front of you. Didn't have snow boarders either.
Saw snow on the Santa Suzana mountains to the north and west of the Valley. It's gone now. Right now it's about 62 and winds at 12 miles.
California IS wonderful, but Mexico is even more wonderful (at least right now). Temp right now is 73.2F (6:10 pm). Not a cloud in the deep blue sky. It will get down to about 58 tonight, and get up to high 70s tomorrow. Love it.
It was in the 70's today with a Santa Ana wind blowing. Gusts were up to 35 miles an hour. All you had to do was put on some roller skates and use a sheet as a sail.
