I’ve eaten boiled/pressure cooked hog jowls and hog jowl bacon but never braised. The sound delicious.

Grouper cheeks and other fish are fabulous, so makes sense that land animal cheeks would be too.

Is that Cacique brand? If so, no, I would not eat it, and it has nothing to do with the ingredients listed...I tried that brand once and it was awful, just a mushy, uanppetizing mess that I wouldn't feed to my dog (if I had a dog). They have a few other things in their brand that are okay so I was totally surprised at how bad their chorizo was.
