Whats on the plates? Sunday August 24 - Saturday 30 2025

She’s making a lamb curry.
It came out pretty good and was about #2 on heat. She made the sauce using the reduced liquid from simmering the lamb chops and blended three different curry powders she had plus a new one she bought at the Indian shop today. The rice was a Mahatma microwave bag of jasmine rice. The salad was locally grown romaine and a cuke from our garden.

DD and I went to the Longhorn Steakhouse Restaurant for dinner. Can't remember what day, so I'll just put it here. I thought I posted the pictures, but obviously not.

I had a Salad with blue cheese dressing, bread, and butter to start. I had a baked potato (butter and sour cream) with dinner. We shared the rest.

Ribs, Filet Mignon, Fire-grilled sweet corn topped with house made crema and seasoned Parmesan cheese (cut off the cob to share).

Christine felt better, so she made fresh Cod fish in a butter and wine sauce. Fried cubed zucchini. and white rice. It was a great meal, but my favorite meal is Salt Cod.... ( bacalao )
I soak it and drain and re soak it like 5 times. It's a lot of sodium, so I'm not supposed to eat it.
Tina won't let me make it because it stinks up the house like dead fish. 🐟

Friend Christine rode down to my house on her trike and we took a ride to the seaside town of Swampscott for lunch at Mission on the Bay. We sat at the bar on the upper deck, overlooking the ocean with the Boston skyline in the distance.

We both got 1/2 price specials: mine was ahi tuna club with siracha sauce ($12), Christine got the HUGE lobster roll ($20) and we split fries. Everything was delicious, but my sandwich was falling apart so I ate all the filling and left most of the soggy bread. Great atmosphere, great menu, great half prices!

Took a long ride around two other coastal towns, admiring all the mansions. *sigh* I love riding on the back of that trike!
