Had lots of flooding last night. So much rain so fast, manhole covers were starting to float.

It was 36 early morning. Tina turned on the heat in the kitchen and dining room.

It's 47 outside right now, and the thermostat is reading 69.
I wasn't uncomfortably chilly at all last night or this morning.
I'll wait for the first big chill before turning on the furnace.

Was 46 this am. DD turned heat on for a bit just to make sure it was working properly.

Good choice to turn on the heat and checking its operation. DD did the right thing.
We did that also Today. We also check the tire pressures, and most important, we have the battery voltage on the cars checked . Any voltage less than 12 VDC if the battery is over 3 yr.'s old, be ready for that lengthy bitter cold snap!
