It's 47 outside right now, and the thermostat is reading 69.
I wasn't uncomfortably chilly at all last night or this morning.

Good choice to turn on the heat and checking its operation. DD did the right thing.
We did that also Today. We also check the tire pressures, and most important, we have the battery voltage on the cars checked . Any voltage less than 12 VDC if the battery is over 3 yr.'s old, be ready for that lengthy bitter cold snap!
My furnace is on and has been on since yesterday.

Our furnace/AC runs on and off on its own. We have an air scrubber, also a maintenance plan where they come several times a year for PMC.

We have an atmospheric river coming in tomorrow which I look forward to. I just wish I’d of waxed my Barbour coats - maybe this weekend.
By the way, I posted this thing on Facebook, shared it from one of my fave Chief weather guys out of Toledo.
Because of the lack of rain recently, the Maumee River is low, the banks of Lake Erie are low, and the Miami Erie canal running through Delphos is nearly nonexistent.

The river I normally fish with guide is so low it can’t be floated. Hopefully the river will be up by the time I’m ready to fish again.

Friday I put a plastic tub out to rinse out and this morning there is 3" of rain water in it. It's still raining lightly. We needed it.

We have rain and lots coming - they call it an atmospheric river but in times past it was a Pineapple Express. It’s messing with my gun club day tomorrow so won’t shoot. I may go hit my favorite pawn shop and see what’s out there.
It's the wind here today, which should settle down at sunset.

First snow is always such a peaceful feeling.
I love the first snowfall of the year, then at Thanksgiving/Christmas Eve/Christmas Day.
Otherwise I can happily live without it.
