What are you doing today?

Just got back from doctor visit. It's really blurry and had a tiny leak. I have a contact lens in to hopefully stop that. I go back Monday to take the contact out. I may have to get glasses but it's a wait and see... pun intended. I had afib during surgery so nothing has changed there. I see cardiology on the 20th.

John, I still wear glasses after my surgery. I need them to read, but I also have a bit of astigmatism. I don't need them to see or drive, but after wearing corrective lenses for 60 years, I see the weakness from the astigmatism when I don't wear them.

i also hated putting reading glasses on and off all day. Even though my doctor told me I didn't need them, I ordered progressives. wearing glasses is not the worst outcome of cataract surgery. Be confident that they can resolve the leak.

Is your left eye still great?

Our Granddaughter Amelia McCarthy’s other Grandfather father, Kevin McCarthy, died today after a brief illness. Kevin was the best possible grandfather who played with Amelia, traveled with Amelia, and found great joy himself when he made Amelia happy. While he could be downright silly with AJ to keep her smiling but he was knowledgeable, always put his family first in his long list of responsibilities, a tireless worker and not one to stand on ceremony. He served in and retired from the Coast Guard, worked at Boeing for many years, had strong religious ties, loved boating, and most recently helped his son herd goats. What a man! I am so glad to have known him and grieved at his death. My heart goes out to all of his family and friends. Rest in Peace, Kevin.
