The "Breakfast" thread

It was quite tasty but even the 25% Less Sodium is a bit to salty for me. My eggs broke but were still good. Just wish I had some toast.

Brunch was the rest of the smoked Spam sautéed in bacon grease then ”scrambled“ with three eggs. LA Hot Sauce and H.P. Sauce was added at the end. The cornbread she made last night with Pheasant Brand corn meal and it had a bit of a grittiness I liked.

LOL! John, what is it you're doing that keeps breaking your yolks? You slamming the shells on the edge of your pan??? :giggle:

I do but today’s was scrambled with milk added. I let it cook similar to an omelet.

Yes, I know, but you've posted a couple of broken-yolk fried egg photos lately, so I was wondering what you're doing.

I've been buying free-range organic eggs for a year or so and it seems to me that their shells are MUCH tougher than the far less expensive eggs I've bought most of my life. Takes a little more force to crack them.

Yes, they were free range, brown eggs from Wilcox Farms here in our area. Costco sells them. They were pretty old and last two in the carton. The other was a white egg with thin shell from Idaho. The brown eggs are a much thicker shell.

Ham, onion, tomato, 2 eggs, cheese. I had a little
trouble getting my omelet out of the pan, But it taste great.
Tomato Juice. can you find my dog(Hallie) in the picture LOL.
I still have a lot of tomato's in my garden. Peppers too.
Pretty warm Winter we are having here. (N, Cal).

This morning I sautéed onions and low sodium Spam in bacon grease and ghee, then added the leftover rice from yesterday’s early supper, and three eggs whipped with milk. I added a little low sodium soy sauce at the table. There is plenty leftover for tomorrow. I kept thinking something was missing. Hot sauce will be out tomorrow.
