What are you doing today?

I made the run to Costco and it was Friday/holiday busy but was able to find a close to the door parking spot, shopped, and got out in a timely manner. I got kosher hotdogs to grill with the burgers Sunday, and 5# of Costco potato salad. I may go back for their Italian salad Saturday. Nancy is going to find something in the freezer for dinner - two TJ’s English pub pies for me. Last night’s Trader Joe’s bulgogi was not very good. The taste was there but was tough chewing. My friend’s dogs would have loved it.

Yesterday Nancy was supposed to meet at 3:30 with the lady that is going to sew the quilt to backing. She has one of those big sewing machines that is made to do that sort of thing. We got there 15 min early and waited till 4:30 and she didn't come home. It’s a 40 minute drive, in good traffic, to her place. We left and headed to Toscano’s, in rush hour traffic, had dinner, then drove all the way back to quilt lady’s house. It made for a long evening but was nice to be out. Here is what her quilt looks like put together, and some of the pieces that she hand embroidered. She says, no more. Her eyes and hands are not up for it.

Busy day today.

This morning, the electricians just finished up installing two ceiling fans in each of my bedrooms. I'm thrilled! Can't wait see the bill.

I had a single ticket for a show I wanted to see: an inspirational speaker/humorist (Loretta LaRoche) that I saw a couple of times 30 years ago. I took myself to lunch, had a nice cocktail (Bourbon Lemonade) and a tzatziki/veg/pita platter while reading my book (Back Bay).

The speaker was wonderful and funny, as I remembered her!

Great day!

Finally got my financial/banking details taken care of.
Last month we were informed that the bank was merging with another.
This bank has merged 3 times over the years since I've been with them.
For years it was First Federal.
Then it became Premier 3 years ago.
Now it's going to WesBanco. 🙄

Talk about a pain in the butt!
The transition is supposed to be finalized Monday morning at 8am.
I had to confirm a new account and routing number through several places to make sure all my incoming funds hit the bank in the time and manner I've become accustomed to.
Nothing is ever easy 😵‍💫
