Would you eat this?

This is called the Mile High Mac and Cheese at a place called Twisted Biscuit Diner in Tavares, Florida.

LOL! I know the place! I used to livein the town right next door in Mount Dora. The Golden triangle was Mount Dora, Eustis, and Tavares. Twisted Biscuit wans't there when I lived there, but it's been there when we go back. (It's about a 2 hour drive). I'll have to try it next time we're up there.

Menu for the Whale Steak Luncheon. The American Museum of Natural History in 1918. (This was during World War I, and this was about conserving meat for the soldiers.)

The only thing listed so far that I would not try are the brains and eggs. Some other things I would be hesitant to do, but I would give it an honest try. Growing up, we were allowed to turn our little button-noses up at three things. Three. Pick carefully. Brains were one of my no-goes. I struggle with some foods touching others, so the Oreo burger would be tried - likely in stages. Bun...oreo....oreo with cheese....nibble the meat patty, etc. The chicken in a can is actually not half-bad! While having the sailboat, I have used it! We had no real refrigeration so would use it for chicken soup or chicken noodles. Sometimes a chicken with gravy, etc. As another pointed out, the gelatin made some really nice gravy. The skin and bones? Good for stock....or fishing bait sometimes.
