Grilled Velveeta and tomato on seeded bakery rye for lunch. (No soup this was too filling)

National Taco Day! Made a fried cod taco with pico from my garden tomato, jalapeno, onion and parsley (I didn't have cilantro - bummer). So good that I'm going to do it again tomorrow.

This week, I went to two farms - one was about 30 minutes west of my house, the other was about 30 minutes north. I bought two ears of corn from each farm. Tested the first ear tonight - old and chewy. Will report on an ear from the second farm tomorrow.

Today we had Jimmy Jr. over after work for Chickee babies. His wife is in NYC for some kind of meeting, so Beside that, Tina has a slow cooker cooking chicken soup for tomorrow. Gosh those little Cornish hens are so cute. And Tasty too! You wanna just pinch them on their little tooshies.

My mom sometimes put tomatoes in her chicken soup.

Had a repeat of last night's dinner of fried fish taco and corn on the cob, except tonight, I cooked an ear from the farm WEST of Boston. I'm delighted to say it was wonderful! I'm a corn on the cob snob, and almost never eat corn any other way or in stuff. One of the few things I'm sorry to say goodbye to when summer is over is this delicious carb!
