About 16 years ago, DW went to Dallas in July to visit her cousins.

They had Central cooling, and the T-Stat was set to maintain 80ºF

Tina (DW) said, when she awoke..she was dripping wet; and before showering, she figured she would go outside, and cool off a little.
She couldn't believe it was like 86º at 7:00 in the morning, and in the shade.

She went out and bought a 3 foot high pool for the small kids, and figured she would go in with them and cool off. Ha Ha ...she was amazed that the next day the pool was up, the water was like 90º.
She couldn't go in the water it was so warm. On the third day...even the kids didn't go in the pool; as the temperature turned even warmer.

The kids felt better with the lawn sprinkler.

Her cousin forwarned DW beforehand. She said,"See, I told you!" L O L


Today it is 84 now, and forecast to be 89 at 5 pm.

We don't care cuz it's 74º inside.

We need rain, and it is not forecast for the next 5 day's.

Good in one way....don't have to cut the lawn / errr I mean Weeds.

Temps in the Low 80's rest of the week.

82.5º now at 2:30 PM

60 for a low tonight...but still if there is over 55% humidity, the A/C cooling stays on.

Cooling with comparative enthalpy decision is nice, but the chances of that happening does not come in July too much. L O L (*^*)
 
I just spent a week at the beach where it was in the 70's and overcast most of the time. Came home yesterday to 90+. Today it's triple digits.

We need a smilie for the heat.
 
very pleasant. very warm this afternoon, gradually cooling. blinding sunlite & a very few clouds anywhere i went in the city, & i was through here, dahntahn, shadyside, bloomfield, the strip, & oakland & a minute from e. liberty. very consistent weather nomatter the district.
 
Pouring rain and loving every minute of it. :)

That is a fantastic photo, Embryodad! You can just smell the ozone and feel that lovely, cool rain on your face. Today, here, is muggy, muggy, muggy! Supposed to rain tomorrow and I sure hope so. The HMS Bounty (the one that was in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, also the Mutiny On The Bounty films) is in port in Newburyport, MA and we drove over to see it - quite a ship! But the heat was keeping a lot of people away. Too bad, because she's a beauty.

Yeah Ian M .... that photo was one that Lifesaver took. It surely is a great photo.
Could like you said, smell the earth / ozone.

I didn't think it was too hot here today! 79 was high, but humid and breezy at least.
Didn't think it would be too hot in MA today!....I guess it was!!

Actually, it's really not been all that hot temperature-wise here, either, but the humidity makes it feel like Calcutta in July!! Fallon is really feeling it this year, as well. When we went over to see the Bounty, we were sitting right along the edge of the dock where the ship was tied up and were in the shade but even so, the intensity of the humidity was brutal. Step out into the direct sun and it would just put you away....................

I could live with dry heat - ie, Arizona, but the humidity is a real problem for pregnant ladies and old duffers like me (at least my 6-year-old nephew says I am. To him, 31 is ancient!) When my thermometer says that it's 91 after sunset tonight and right now, at 8:46pm it stands at 80 degrees - to me, that's just plain HOT.

Gasp Gasp!!!.... Think cool cause it's HOT! Here today! It's only 1:00 PM too! Phew!!!

I will say this is the hottest day so far this season.

It's 94.2º out, and 74º inside. A 20º temperature difference; means at least the A/C is working OK, although it is pumping its butt off. I could lower it but that is too extreme of a T/D from outside!
 
And Now... at 4:14 PM... we just had a huge monsoon type storm with lightening up the ying yang..hahaha

It dropped from 96.1ºF to 75ºF already....

Now Tina is freezing..hahaha

I'm loving it, and the first thing that came to my mind..... What To Cook!!....:yum:

Gosh! That brings memories... I made many a trip to Universal Supply group in N. Haledon. Great Honeywell controls supplier.

It's 74 now and holding. As a matter of fact...I have a blueberry cobler in the oven. LOL... Hey! Gotta have something to eat with the ice cream. hahahaha

Cloudy, some rain, heat stayed. Mega muggy


Only way out of the city now. Still muggy.

Liam (my Lab) killed a skunk, I'm going dog bathing.
 
i know a severe weather alert passed during the early, early morning. i only remember as it interrupted the golden girls.
now it's humid, gray & drizzling.
 
It made it to 72º today...and less humidity.
Can't shut the cooling off because Tina can't breath well.

Tomorrow we go to the pulmonary specialist. Hoping he helps her!! Praying!

It is now 70º at 925PM and tomorrow they say only 71º. That I could take!
 
Today.. Monday...

Not too warm..83º and ready to get hammered with lightening and thunderstorms. Purple sky out now, and beep beep beep BS from the weather channel local watch.

I seriously cannot forsee any temps in the 90's anymore here.
Mid to upper 80's if that.

Time to get ready for winter. Check out the snow blower...and ready the furnace etc. get it all greased up. hahahahaha Yay! cant wait.
 
89 degrees right now and sunny.
The high is supposed to hit 95.
It's not all that humid, so it's bearable out there lol
Supposed to get scattered storms all night into tomorrow evening.
 
86, sunshine tho it's looking like we're gonna probably get a storm. intermittent winds. dagnabbit, & i was gonna take a dip. they close the pool if it begins to look like rain.
