What is Your Weather?

19, cloudy, with freezing fog. Seems that the interstate got some slick. Had a bad accident by Jamestown here. Rumor has it that fatalities were involved, but I don't know anything for sure. Two vehicles were torn up pretty badly. Some snow in the forecast, but amounts aren't much...maybe an inch.

Update:
Just checked a local news site and they report 3 people injured in the accident which involved 5 vehicles. Conditions of the injured are not published at this time.

It's about 75-80 degrees here. Watched the News & have seen some pretty bad weather conditions. If you're flying, of course, check with the airport -- some flights may be cancelled, or delayed. Stay safe, & Happy Holidays.

Here's a view from the Santa Monica Pier cam. :hide:

Come on out where it's sunny & warm.

What floor do I get off at to get to Heff's Penthouse?, How are those implants workin' out for ya?, Is this the way to the audition for Working for Diddy?

We are having severe thunderstorms and getting deluged with rain. The ground is so saturated already that there's no place for it to go. Hail was predicted but so far none. I guess I'm just glad it's not sleet, which coats the pine needles and causes the branches to fall onto the power lines and zapolla......no electricity:evil:.

34 degrees and sunny. We're supposed to get rain tomorrow. Hang in there, y'all! Got my first tomato seed catalog yesterday! Dreaming about spring planting ... wait, gotta go finish X-mas shopping first!

Right now it's sunny and NOAA says it's 24 deg f.

Cars thermometer said it was 18.

Calling for rain to start ~ 2 AM. Christmas with tonights and tomorrow mornings lows in the upper 20's.

Prime for road / bridge ice / black ice.

Probably be a good night to stay home and listen to the scanner.

It's just about the same here Wart. The temp is 25 with windchill of 14. It's supposed to go up to 40......so it's prime for rain tomorrow.

Well it's finally started. lol The clipper and lake effect are hitting our area......and it's still coming down and the wind is picking up. It's 24 with a windchill of 9.

Oh, oh, oh! Look at that! It looks like a fairy land to me, Barb. How beautiful! Although 24 degrees sounds wicked cold. Still, I'd give anything to wander around in the snow again. There is nothing like it in the world.

Thank you for posting these pics - I needed some snow!

Not as bad here but colder than a witch's left.... well you get the idea. The internet shows our temperature as 45F but the thermometer on my back porch shows it at 27F and windy here too. We got a dusting of snow last night but not snowing at the moment but expect more starting tonight through the 1st.

A tad cooler up the coast from Dan but 40's and semi sunny ain't too shabby. The rains are supposed to return starting tomorrow which is OK, adds to the snow pack in the mountains.

And here it comes:

Finally, Real lake effect snow.

I use to watch the weather people, air movement from the south and the 'climatologist' would carry on about lake effect in Ohio and other places south of the lakes.

Made me want to reach through the screen and throttle them.

LOL.......yeah, real lake effect. I've lived here all my life and this is surely the "real deal". lol We had our drive plowed this morning and you'd never know it now. There is no end in sight. It's coming down pretty darn good!

Here's a few more pix......
The last pic.......waiting for summer. LOL
