Okay, y'all. We do our tailgating "behind enemy lines" on football Sundays (and rarely on other days.) We had ribs, potato salad, garden string beans, pickled beets, and pickles. For dessert, pineapple upside-down cake. And honeydew melon with prosciutto for nibbles.
The fella was up at six AM to fire up the smoker.

The sun came up. Flowers in the yard seemed to notice.

After about 5 hours the ribs were done smoking. The fella tented them while we got everything ready! He used brown sugar in the rub. I think it is better without the sugar.

So then...tailgating! Got all cleaned up in time to watch kick-off for the Cleveland Browns (his team.)

I ate just about all of that, except for the rice - maybe 4 bites.
The rest, yes! Including the zucchini, onions, mushrooms and carrots underneath.
No idea why he gave me yum yum sauce.
I love it, but normally on sushi roll, cheese wonton for dipping -- or it's really good with their steak hibachi bento box, for dipping the steak pieces.I've never had yum-yum sauce with Chinese food, but heard it's very good. Is it?
