What are you eating Sunday, 9/14/2025 to Saturday, 9/20/2025?

Tina took out a LB. of chopped sirloin out of the freezer, and I threw it back. No appetite lately, and I think it's the increase of the Ozempic the Dr put me on.? I don't know? Terrible heartburn, and stomach pain lately. I may just settle for a bowl of soup of some sort.

Jimmy, please be careful with the Ozempic.
It can cause all sorts of issues.
The most frequent I've encountered in some of my residents at the nursing home are big time kidney problems and of course, it surely involves the pancreas.

My friend Flo and I had street tacos, with tortilla chips and queso dip to share.

Didn't bother with taking a pic, because I've shown them on here before, plus we were involved in conversation.
She's 80 years old and still in nursing.
You'd never know it to look at her.

Ty is bringing me some of his fabulous bbq pulled pork from when they grilled and smoked over the weekend.
When, I don't know.
I've also got this meal prep in mind from Green Giant where you add chicken, scrambled egg, ginger, garlic, soy sauce and sesame oil to the steamer bag of riced cauliflower and vegs.

Could be either of those tomorrow, but I expect I'm going to be eating pulled pork for a few days in some fashion lol
 
Another cooking show-inspired meal. Kathy and I were watching a TV cooking competition and someone made chicken-fried steak. She said she'd never had it, so I made it tonight.

While I was delivering her plate to her, my gravy thickened up too much, but I went with it anyway.

Looks yummy! Lee, I like to put my gravy over the potatoes and under the CFS. I think it lets the "steak" stay fresher and still have the great flavor from the gravy. Learned that from an old deli in Culver City, CA.
