What are you eating Sunday, 8/31/2025 to Saturday, 9/6/2025?

Progresso low sodium clam chowder and Caesar salad.
It's hitting the spot!
I'll take something light to work for my break.

I had a yen for a sandwich we had in Paris a couple years ago. Croque Monseiur. It's basically a ham and cheese on brioche, with bechemel. I toasted the brioche first, so that it wouldn't be soggy, then bechemel, ham, cheese, brioche, more bechemel, more cheese. Into the oven for about 15 minutes.

The pics aren't pretty, but it sorted my craving.

I love Croque Monsieur. And Madame. What kind of cheese did you use?

Portuguese Stuffies (stuffed quohogs with chourico). I served up some excellent storebought clam chowder on the side, but the stuffies were so massive (one for each of us) we could only eat a few spoonsful of chowder.

These stuffies were fantastic!
