I had Muenster cheese on original triscuits and tomato salad with seeded semolina bread to dip for dinner yesterday.
It’s cooler today. So will probably have a spinach salad (I boiled the eggs last night) I didn’t get to make last night. I’m craving homemade meat sauce over mini wagon wheels pasta.
We’ll see what happens. lol By dinner time I’m usually out of energy and achy.

Thank you so much. I'm slightly into "playing house" since I retired. This includes making food for the family. While working, I never had much time for anything other passing out food in a wrapper....so it is my thing of late.Everything you make or post is beautiful and comforting️

So many people gave up on our local Denny's that they finally closed it up .
... Texas Roadhouse is next... they are nothing like they were for the first few years they were open...
If you order the Catfish, for instance, you used to get a nice thick piece of fish... now, you get a thin sheet of Catfish-flavored Breading ...
About the only place worth going to now for a good meal is Bob Evans.
Big Boy was also fabulous, but as you know ours closed down and now it's Dunkin lol

PSSST, Lee, what's the secret?
Well, a couple of things:
'- the zero carb tortillas were too big; I cut them down so I could have 2 tacos without getting too full
- I used the large shred Mexican cheese blend
- and I think the most important difference was that I used a homegrown Roma tomato instead of a slicer in my pico. Much better!

After picking Nancy up at SeaTac we drove the back roads to Puyallup, staying away from rush hour traffic on the 5 and 167. Neither of us was going to cook so stopped at Toscano’s since it was on the way home. They are doing a special with different regions of Italy for the month of August, rotating weekly. This week it is Tuscany. Nancy ordered the chicken liver pâté for a starter and a vegetarian dish that was spinach and parmesan balls with a pomadero sauce. I ordered the NY Strip Florentine, rare - came well past medium. That’s twice in a row steak was not correct. We were comped dessert. I’ll have to rethink ordering steak here again. I did have two martini’s and a glass of Banfi Chianti.

Lee, you and I were thinking alike last night. I made shrimp tacos.
Quality has definitely gone downhill.
