Still recuperating from this head & Chest cold...
Could not get the gumption to make dinner...
I DID get up enough gumption to make..
... a phone call...

Thanks for starting the new week, Lee.
I've been napping 😴 since I'm working all night.
I had scrambled eggs and sliced tomatoes for late lunch.
Jules is bringing something healthy for us to share tonight.

I tried a bit of an experiment...I took 1/2 of a chicken, brined it and then dredged it in some flour(s) and spices...followed by a spin on the rotisserie. Yum! Served it with some pasta and corn. We both enjoyed it and I'll need to make notes in order to repeat in the future!

Looks great to me! I have a couple of friends who had a "set it and forget it" rotisserie. They loved it!

It is easy to use...and better than cleaning the regular oven after cooking! I think this experiment may be our new favorite chicken!

Reheated the last of the rotisserie chicken and my delicious mashed turnip (I make it like mashed potatoes, but add caramelized chopped onion). Served with a microwaveable bag of fresh green beans (what a great invention!) dressed the way my friend's Italian grandmother dressed them - excellent EVOO, salt and lots of black pepper.

Lamb chops were on sale - I pan seared with olive oil, butter, garlic and rosemary. They were just "eh". Not much lamb-y flavor.

Greek salad was excellent and the bourbon barrel-aged Cabernet Sauvignon was perfect!

Now for pj's and a scary movie! Life is good!

I'm going to rotisserie grill some chicken skewers. The chicken is marinating now. I've already made some salads...Wild Rice Picnic Salad and a Mac Salad too. I've got a package of fruit from the store too. Should be more than enough to fill us up!

Lee, I'm hoping to go to Walt Churchill's in Toldeo soon and get some lamb chops.
I'll only eat them if I can make them like Steve's Dad did.
Seared to almost burnt.
Yours look delicious to me.

Lee, was it American lamb? That is usually mild in flavor. Australian lamb has much more of the 'lamby' flavor.

I doubt that the origin was indicated on the package, but it must have been American, Kathy. Disappointing texture, too.
