What are you eating Sunday, 6/29/2025 to Saturday, 7/5/2025?

Congestion is loosening up behind massive doses of the orange in the day, green in the night...
... and broth !

couldn't eat the second cake, but I got the Squash in me...

From the freezer;

I didn't go to the American Legion for their 4th of July barbecue.
I was told every year, the chicken is undercooked, so I went to Agave and got a chicken taco salad bowl between running around from here to Defiance to see the Grandies ❤️
I did a lot of cooking for our American Legion. I always pre-cooked the chicken in the ovens and then just gave it some color/flavor on the grill. That was some years back. I would wait for the whole chicken sale. Whole chickens would be about 2 bucks each, so dinner would be 1/2 of a chicken.

I'm all mixed up with the days. It's rare that we have a celebration on a Friday. It just feels like a Sunday to me that is. Back to work for DD. She fell down the steps Monday, and hurt her foot.
That put the damper a little on the cooking and prepping everything. Yesterday, she went to the medical orthopedic Dr. , and they found she broke her foot. Tina and I did the cooking the best we could, and we had a great feast. Son Jimmy did the grilling. Tina caramelized a dozen onions to use for whomever wanted them on their burgers. Looks like the weekend will be leftovers.

For the fourth, we went to spend the day with friends. We had hamburgers, hotdogs, pulled pork sandwiches, and all kinds of things to go with it. I made some coney sauce for the hotdogs and some coleslaw as a side. The photo of the hotdogs was taken a while ago, but the coleslaw is what I took yesterday.

For today, we had omelets for breakfast and are currently on the fourth round of "I dunno...what do you want" for dinner.
