Let's talk about our pets.

Computing is tiring!
Sweet Pea 10 years old yesterday.

We had another kitten hanging out under the woodpile outside so we brought him in. Van Van is his name.
My sweetie said She wanted a rabbit. I put my foot down this time and said “okay” 😐
So now we have a Hollander Lop rabbit. “Fred” started humping Van, so we got the rabbit fixed. 🙃

We have always had rescue pets. In early spring of 2024, we lost our old-bold kitty. I was so devastated that I said we would never get another because it just hurt too much to lose them - even though we had enjoyed Jezebel for over 17 years. Skip ahead. My former co-worker was fostering kittens. Long story short, we adopted three of them. They were palm-kitties. Barely a pound for our boy and just at a pound for the girls. We called them "our wildlings."

From the top left and going clockwise, Osha, Ygritte, and Mance. The girls are full siblings. Mance, our boy, is a half-sibling to them. They were born on the same day. The girls were found next to their dead mother. Mance's mother took them in - sorta. She clearly cared for her own before giving to the girls as in bathing them, etc. I've never been someone who is like "I'm their Momma, etc." with pets before. That has changed with my wildlings. I'm a total pet parent now. Perhaps it is because I've had them since they were itty-bittys.

From top to bottom: Mance, Osha, and Ygritte. Mance weighs over 16 pounds. Osha and Ygritte are roughly 9 pounds each. They are my light. They are 17 months old now. Yes, I had a birthday party for them complete with balloons, games, activities, and "cheezburgers n stuff." Ygritte attended the birthday party. Balloons scared the other two and they hid for most of the time, but everyone else had a great time!

Omg !they're all darlings!

Wait, you went from "never adopting another" to adopting three??? LOL!

Beautiful babies!

Lee
I did. They were zooming around the house. The fella loved the little red and white one. We both went AWWW with the little diluted calico. I loved the little grey boy. Finally, I said, I guess we can just get the boy and little red one. He replied, "Um...we are not leaving that little calico." I said, "Then we are getting three." He said, "I guess we are." 🤣 When we got them home, the first thing Osha did was run and climb the custom drapes. But...it has been all fun since.
