What are you eating Sunday, 6/15/2025 to Saturday, 6/21/2025?

**Trying to keep it simple this week!

  • Sunday: Smoked brisket leftovers and coleslaw
  • Monday: Grilled chicken salad
  • Tuesday: Taco night (of course)
  • Wednesday: Spaghetti with homemade sauce
  • Thursday: Breakfast-for-dinner — eggs, bacon, hashbrowns
  • Friday: Pizza night 🍕
  • Saturday: Firing up the grill for some ribs and corn on the cob!

Anyone else planning meals or just winging it?**

Last night I had the last of Nancy’s lamb shank. A salad with radish tops, and radishes from a farmers market.

One of the ladies at the Port Gamble quilt shop recommended we eat at The Proper Fish on Bainbridge Island and glad we did. We shared onion rings and could’ve finish them, Nancy had fish tacos, and I had two meals - fried oysters, and English fish and chips. I could only eat two oysters, Nancy had one, and I ate half my fish. We have enough leftovers for tomorrow night. I rate this place 5 stars and staff couldn’t have been nicer. Oh, eh! We ate outside and it was quite pleasant.

Last night I really didn’t want to cook again, but I’m sick of eating out. So we had a not really homemade dinner.

A package of not homemade pasta.
A jar of not homemade pasta sauce.
Some frozen not homemade meatballs.
I did manage to grate the Parmesan and chop some basil for the top.

And why the heck not?? As long as the storebought ingredients taste good, Bob's your uncle!
