Angel hair and Italian sausage in Victoria sauce. Sauce was excellent, but I didn't care for the sausage. Salad was great.

Last night I grilled burgers using the indirect method described in the article about grilling steaks. They came out fab and will do this from now on.

He says to start thick steaks on the indirect side (reverse sear). Says to grill thinner steaks direct the entire time.

Your burgers looked thin. Were they well done?

They were on the thin side, 1/4#. My wife made those and were in the freezer. They were well done but not dried out to bad. I left them on indirect heat and cherry wood smoke, then finished off over flame, and added cheese. My plate money shot was blurry.

Jimmy, We had BLT's too. I'll keep having them on Saturday nights during tomato season.

John, yours looks like the perfect summer dinner!

It was good and will have to find these steaks at Safeway.
Meg made a blue cheese butter for a topping which everyone
liked. Dessert was a fruit tart from the Safeway bakery.

today is John A.’s 48th birthday. They rented a very nice cabin
outside Mt. Rainier and looks like they will have a beautiful day
to be on the mountain. When we got Bach from Germany we used
to hike up to the snow line where the climbers get serious abut their
climb and have a picnic. The hike down is a breeze… we were in
folks marching shape then. Those were the days.

I’m not sure and JA wasn’t either. The wrapper got buried in the trash and wasn’t about to dig for it. I think they were petite sirloin and will look for them next time in Safeway. They were delicious and tender.
