What's on the menu Sunday, 8/1/2021 to Saturday, 8/7/2021?

Pot roast with baby bella mushrooms, onion, beef & mushroom pot jus, steamed baby spinach and seasoned baby potatoes (Little Potato Company Savory Herb flavor).

DD#2 took me out to Longhorn Steakhouse for lunch. Lunch was half a baked potato, half a NY strip steak, french onion soup (DD shared with me) and an ice tea with peach syrup in it. Took my salad home and the other halves of my food. I'll have that for lunch tomorrow. I had leftover pot roast for dinner.

We are getting tomatoed and zucchinied to death over here. We are getting to the point, we can't keep up, and giving them away
is not a help, because no one wants them because they are in the same boat. hahahaa.....
I don’t have any of either. :( I wish I had some green tomatoes and squash flowers also.

I remember years ago Tina and I used to make the sliced green tomatoes and eggplant in the stone crock
with the vinegar and garlic. The big stone that weighted it down , smelled so good, and the wood plug did too.
Got too old to do all that. We don't even do home canning anymore. It's cheaper to stock up when ShopRite has its
can can sale. :) ??

I hear that… after this tuna canning session we had, we said never again. I would like to can a batch of tomatoes but doesn't look like we’ll get that done.
