The trout patties were good albeit mushy due to the added pumpkin purée. The recipe called for sweet potatoes which we had 0. The French fries were not legal but relented. There was also a side of microwaved broccoli.
We had deconstructed sushi bowls with sushi rice in the bottom, some diced cucumber, green onion and avocado, then topped with salmon seared with some rice wine vinegar and soy. Wasabi as well, then slivers of nori seaweed and flying fish roe, too. Pretty great!

Tonight was vegetarian cottage pie. It was good but I spiced mine up with fresh ground black pepper and Tabasco Sauce. I had cookies earlier in the afternoon so passed on dessert tonight.

No, these were an apple cookie Nancy made. I took a big plateful to church this morning for a funeral. They had a ton of Costco cookies and didn’t need mine. Anyway they are pretty good. There was supposed to be a streusel topping but didn’t do that. My favorites are snickerdoodle, sugar, gum drop, molasses crinkles, and snowballs. Least favorite are peanut butter. Really, I like all cookies and could eat a whole package of Oreos. When you could get Hydrox lemon cookies I would eat a whole package when I was doing home care nursing.
Mine was chili 4 ways, and chocolate pie for dessert!!!
