What’s cookin August 20 - 26

Last nights dinner with another couple.

Mangiami Italiano

One Chef, one hostess/waiter and reservations only at this little bistro. 20 minutes apart.

We had arancini and spinach artichoke dip for our primi. After my first bite of the arancini I realized this meal was going to be on another level. Did not disappoint at all.

Lasagna, beef raviolis, pasta rags and funghi. My new fav restaurant. 😎

OMG, that looks incredible! Did you all share all the dishes or did you take photos of everyone's plates?

Wish I'd seen the interior of the arancini - that is one of my favorite things to NOT make myself!

We all shared, it’s funny how everybody suggested that. After pics it was all business 😂

My first bite of the arancini was off the chart. I knew it was going to be a great feast.

Ro (VeraBlue) taught me to make arancini her way when I went to New Orleans to help her during Mardi Gras the first year she opened. She got me started and I had to make trays of them! That was 10 or 12 years ago. I've done them a few times since, but they are a lot of work.
