I had never seen it before, but knew it won a lot of awards. What a downer movie. GREAT acting for sure, but whoa. I could only take so much. I was glad to see it end.

Now I have Airplane on. Much better. Dumb mindless comedy. That fits me much better today.

Oh good heavens, Doc! Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf ? certainly is a downer. It's probably the most depressing movie of all time. It reminds me of some people I know from New York, who think it's very sophisticated to be cutting, scathing, and insulting - all in good fun, of course.

Why do tragic films like that win all the awards, yet the fun ones that make you feel good are panned by the so-called critics? The musicals, the comedies, the romances, the sci-fi, and the shoot-em-ups never win the trophies. They just bring in all the money.
 
Santa brought me all 13 Beatles albums, thru Let It Be...........
and right now I'm listening to Creedence Clearwater Revival, a six-cd set of all their studio work.

Its because the folk in Hollywierd know way more that the rest of us.

Three great albums ; but my picks of the litter would be Revolver and Rubber Soul ...............
I remember me and Dan waiting in line for the music store to open so we could be the first of our gang to own "Sgt. Peppers"................


Yeah, CCR is only SIX discs ; figgered to get thru the short collection FIRST !
 
UGH!!! Some of the RENTERS here at the condo have a boom box on the beach... turned up so loud we can hear it from inside our condo.... We are on the 8th floor! I think we are about to go complain to the manager. :( :( :( We come here for quiet and relaxation as to all the other owners. :(

I suspect others there would thank you for reporting the 'noise'. I know kids will be kids, but noise pollution is indeed offensive and should be controlled to some extent. Good luck lilly. Enjoy your time at the condo. :beer:
 
My girls bickering!! GRRRRRRRRR I don't know how much longer I can stand hearing "You turd!" Before I BLOW a gasket!! And I'm not talking about the pressure cooker!! LOL
 
Have Curious George on the TV for the kids, but I'm listening to Dave Matthews Band on my laptop with my earbuds. LOL.
 
i'm 'bout 2 be putting my television on! gasp! i'm tuning into that newer food channel; i watched a few shows @ my Mom's & vinnie's & luved them. Mrs. Julia Child was on there, & giada.
