What are you eating Sunday, 8/17/2025 to Saturday, 8/23/2025?

I may do another salad today.
This time with spinach and chicken.
I'm striving to eat only when I'm truly hungry these days.
Doesn't matter the hour really because I've never been one to eat by the clock.
I do not like to eat after 6pm if I can help it - unless I'm at work or out eating with friends or family at a particular time.

This is Koch Foods chicken strips (made 2 in the air fryer).. spinach, red onion, tomato, avocado, slivered almonds and Craisins.
Added the cilantro lime sauce before digging in.

Getting another heatwave for the next few days. BLT’s tonight, not sure about a side yet
Yeppers, on the map, says you'll have "severe" heat and we're having "extreme" heat. At what point is it just "too darn hot"? (thinking of the Kiss Me Kate song, that we named our youngest pup after :ROFLMAO: )

In any event, we're having a Garden Pasta Salad for lunch and I'm thinking I'll sous vide a couple of steaks for dinner. If the porch is cool enough, I'll finish the steaks on the gas grill. If not, cast iron skillet will be in play!

Judy isn't feeling well, and didn't want to eat. But her doctor told here that protein is important for healing. So to keep it easy on her stomach, I made breakfast. We each had 1 slice of bacon, 1 scrambled egg with a little cheese mixed in, and 1 thin slice of Dave's toast. Protein, protein, protein, and half carbs.

Sounds like a perfect incentive meal!

Had the last of my chicken bacon ranch patties (Sharon, these are SO good!) with a bit of Sweet Baby Ray's Mild Buffalo Sauce to dip.

Also made a Caesar salad with some of my enormous head of green leaf lettuce. Good, but I can see why Romaine is preferable - my lettuce did not stay crunchy. Actually, I don't mind limp lettuce (love leftover salad!) My favorite Caesar dressing is still the star of this salad.

I take the core out of my head of Iceberg lettuce. I chop it up & put lettuce in 2-zip lot bags. Works good Lee
