tonight be scallops a-go-go. thinking brussel sprouts with bacon and (something....)
This was last night, actually. We do the Polish food on the Saturday and Chinese (have I ever told that story?) on Easter.
Blue Seal kielbasa from Chickopee, MA ("Kielbasa Capital of the World"), Polish seeded rye bread from the Berkshires, HB eggs with horseradish, potato salad with garden chives, asparagus.
Man, that kielbasa is the best!

I had ham, cornbread stuffing, green beans and cherry pie.
It was excellent.
Lots of Hershey's chocolate mini eggs and iced bunny cookies, which I really didn't need lol

Last night, Dad and I joined Kathy in her traditional Easter dinner - Chinese take-out!!
Kathy brought all the decorations to my house and we ordered the enormous Pu-Pu Platter for Two and pork fried rice which I doctored up. Ridiculous amount of food.

We are grazing on leftovers today.
I made the no- knead once per JoeV's instruction.
It was fab.
Early dins.
Decided to add peas.
Saw a recipe that suggested adding crushed butter crackers to the spaghetti.
I didn't.
It was good the way I made it.

It was a Buffet setting, and I made a perfect Pig of myself........
Tonight ;
First time for everything !
My first Flat Iron Steak,
Marinated ( EVOO, Minced Garlic, Parsley, Rosemary, Chives, Dry Mustard , Cabernet, S&P..)
then Pan-seared 3 minutes per side...........
Mashed Spuds under Onion Gravy, Peas & Carrots...........

the potato soup turned out quite nice - dead simple to make - does take time, tho.

simmer in water, barely covering, until potato breaks down -

Since I have to be in bed by 7pm, I have to eat early.

Not really pretty, but it's delicious.
