What are you doing today?

It's been an overcast, somewhat rainy day here.
April and I took a walk down through Oakwood park.
This little sweetheart was back toward the wooded area, Mama was nearby and just looked at us.
😊

We stopped at the Amish market today, and I picked up a 2# roll of Amish butter. It has a higher fat content 84-85%. European butter has minimum 82%, and American has 80%.
The high fat content make it much creamier and richer.

Please make Scottish shortbread and send me the entire tin. TIA.

Going to bed with TV and catch up on Peter Santenello's latest.
I'm behind!

So.....

Last night I got elected Treasurer of our HOA Board of Directors. I should shoot myself for volunteering.
Unfortunately, our BoD was totally dysfunctional. The president quit. Then the next president quit. Then the 3rd president sued the first president for 'defamation". Then our Directors' coverage on our insurance kicks in. The secretary quit.

Another woman and I, who have both been heavily involved in the committees for 5 years agreed to replace to of them. (I was Chair of the Finance Committee and Diane was Chair of the Landscape Committee, among other things). The community of 1100 homes stood up and applauded when Diane and I came on the BoD. They breathed a big sigh of relief that all this macho BS would finally stop.

We'll see what happens.

Bless you, Kathy! Best of luck!

The most exciting thing about my day was unwanted.
I was in Defiance at my chiropractor, then headed home.
Driving down Clinton street, this fool in a car was speeding and driving crazy.
He was in and out of traffic, going off the street then cutting back into store and restaurant parking lots.
I heard sirens shortly after I stopped and pulled over.
Not sure if this person had a warrant or if he was stopped because of the crazy, dangerous driving.

In any case, he fought them.
They had to wrestle him to the ground.

I went to help out with the bake sale at work that we have each year, to raise funds for the residents, so they can go to outings with the activities department.

Tonight is trick or treat here.
We rarely get kids coming to this section of town, they all tend to stay in the center of the city.

Had to run out at noon today, so we decided to grab lunch at the drive thru. Total was $16.45, so we gave her $21.45. And she asked, "Do you want me to use the dollar first?" Sigh. Then we went to pick up a couple of things at the market and noticed several groups of High School kids walking the aisles, openly eating baked goods, candy, etc...and putting larger items into their backpacks.

While I was out shopping, I ran into one of my former nurse aides and her little boy.
She's doing well, surviving on her own (minus the piece of work she had been involved with).
She's going to update her license since it lapsed and will be working at the hospital as a patient tech.
Yay! Good girl Freedom!
I love her to bits.
