US, Israel, and UK embassies have issued a travel advisory, calling their citizens to avoid the Eastern beaches and other tourist hot-spots of Sri Lanka. Israel has asked all citizens to return home, and if not, at least to come to Colombo due to a high level of threat against mainly Jewish people according to intelligence services. Just as tourism was coming up, in 2019 Easter bombing killed it. Now again as tourism is coming up they want to destroy the economy. Just as I was dreaming of going up with my own tourism service.

Met my nurse friend Chloe who used to work with us/me.
She got a new job at CCNO corrections center.
I think she's going to do well there being that she's young and was well trained ( by me!)

We also finally found a different facility to take our very LARGE bariatric resident.
He was never meant to be in our facility in the first place.
I loved you Dan, and I'm going to miss you.

Wow! Just got a call from Nancy's nephew. her sister is in icu with bladder infection and talking jibberish, but that is common with UTI's. They are talking early Alzheimer's and nursing home placement. To much going on here for me to worry about my ailments.

My PRP shot went well. We’ll see how it is after the lidocaine wears off.

Yesterday, I went to visit 2 of my friends for our traditional pumpkin-carving and noshing. While carving, we snacked on Jan's beautiful platter of goodies, featuring my pimento-cheeseball and Jan's "moldy deviled eggs" (mixed yolks with pesto) and delicious smoked salmon mousse. Ordered out for pizza and had Ann's homemade vanilla ice cream while watching a couple of movies at night.

Very sorry for the bad news posted, hope everyone is doing better. On a lighter note, taught my son to do brake replacement on his Envoy today. He did very, very well! Very proud of him!! Have to pass along all I can while I can, right? So sad to see the modern "guys" who can't even work a screwdriver. What's really sad is the knowledge that will be lost when my generation fizzles out. Not angry about it, just saying it's sad.....

Friend Christine and I are getting ready to leave our rented condo in Provincetown, after a fun Halloween weekend. Because we are of, ahem, a certain age, we didn't stay out late last night when the street parties were really revving up. But we saw some magnificent costumes earlier in the evening. Because it was cold, most of the people were walking quickly, not stopping for photos, so we missed a lot of great costumes. But here are a few samples:

I've been running around town getting things done, took a very windy, long walk and got invited to an election day supper at the local Presbyterian church.
I passed on the dinner, it just didn't sound appealing.
Besides, I've already got my dinner in the works.

I went to PT this morning - therapist thinks I have a herniated disc. It’s always something.

Nancy made ham balls for us and to take to John A. & Meg's. There is church potatoes they will have to bake. We will go up when the last batch is done.

We went to Seattle and dropped off food at my son’s. Meg was napping and didn’t bother them…

My back has been bad and after PT session today has felt pretty good. My PT thinks it’s a herniated disk - i have physical 2 Dec and will request an MRI. I need to lose weight and do my exercises.

It came out pretty good. It was thinner than I’d of liked but the church ladies didn’t care.

Almost 2 hours and the body is still in the middle of the road. A guy was hit by a van, the police is here, the mortuary van is here, but they are waiting for something else it seems.

Parliamentary election was held today. I didn't go to vote. No violence at all. Many new faces will enter the parliament.

After my PT this afternoon we are hitting the road to Iowa. I’m packed just need to load the car. She decided we will take the northern route since it’s 100 miles shorter. We rented a mid size all wheel drive in case of snow.

I've been busy again, finally finished my fall cleaning, went shopping, bought a new vacuum cleaner, (Lightweight Bissell stick vacuum, it also converts into a little handheld- love it!).
Oh, my Medicare card came in the mail.
