Thank you QSis... very close guess but I'll give you a hint

Not Polish, but a "vampire", I grew up with red wine:gulp:, I still enjoy the elixir and I will die with the bottle connected to my IV

You got it.
Transylvania is just one of the regions in Romania... I was born and raised in Moldavia (on the Romanian side) right on the border with Russia.
In a small village, I was raised by my grandparents on the farm.

It was, "The little house on the prairie" type of life.
I learned to cook and bake from my grandmother and all the other skills I have from my grandfather who was an excellent farmer and fisherman.

Here are few of the pictures very precious to me

I just want to tell you how much I enjoyed your pictures... I love the outdoors and every chance I have I am out there.

Andy, thank you very much for your kind words.
The past 20 + years of my life I lived in US and I am an American... but I can't forget where I come from.
I know we (the Romanians) have a few bad people... but the contry is beautiful and I love the tradition that comes with it.

I grew up in upstate New York. I would rather have lots of snow than what we get in New Jersey.

I visited family on Vancouver island. Gorgeous as well there.

Andy, I lived 7 years in NYC... and Jersey is very familiar to me too.
I know what you mean.

But when I moved to Boise in '99, I was madly in love with this place.
Can't tell you how beautiful is to have the ski resort practically "behind the house" and be there in 25 minutes drive.
And in the summer you don't know what to do first... hike, bike, camp, climb, fish, hunt, just name it... it is a pity to sit indoors and do nothing.

I have to find a place where I can post some pictures from this area.

Great shot, Lethal! How many boys/kids do you HAVE???

Lee

What a beautiful family. If in the picture you have the "three youngest boys"... may I ask how many children you have?
May they grow to make you a very proud dad.

Wow...thanks all. very kind words.
I'm a single dad with four boys. 13, 11, 9 and 7.
It can be pretty challenging at times, but I have been blessed with really good kids. I constantly get positive feedback from people when I have them in public places like restraunts. They really do make me proud.
We were at a Winnipeg Blue Bomber game second row 50 yard line.
I usually get free tickets from the news papers and radio stations that I advertise on.
We were only able to get four, so my oldest choose to stay home and play on the computer. He's not into sports much at all. So it worked out for all of us.

I have to find a place where I can post some pictures from this area.

Go to your user Control Pael and look on the left for pictures and albums. Alternatively, we have a random picture thread.

I visited your blog. You really cook up a storm. Nice work!

Hey, Dan - welcome back!

Looking good, you hibernating bear, you!

Lee

You guys are so nice. Thank you very much! I'm not sure if I've seen a pic of VeraBlue (I'll have to go look for it), but I don't think we're related. Wouldn't that be funny if we were and didn't know it?!! Again, thanks for the nice comments.

LOL! Jacki, you and Vera DO resemble each other a bit, but I was joking about your last "names".

Lee
