I'm making this tomorrow, in a stock pot, but I have a question..........

Chopped !
Are we chopping everything the way we do "chopped onions" ?
Seems to me this is too rough a treatment........... what did you guys do ?

I need to hear back by tomorrow morning .
:thankyou:
Also, I will tweak the recipe by adding a slab of ham, medium dice.

Didn't get an answer to my query, so I went with my gut and left the veggies a bit larger than chopped.... worked well !

THX, Sass !

My cabbage head was very large, but, having chopped it already, I just doubled the quantities of the other ingredients to fit.....

I went a little too heavy on the Cayenne, at least for everybody but me.
A half cup of light brown sugar solved that without affecting the taste overall....

I diced a slab of ham steak and added it about 20 minutes before the finish....

When you chop a carrot small, or just slice it. Your missing out on the flavor of the carrot, especially fused with the soup. Chop your carrots large.
Soup looks fantastic.

Problem with that in a soup, Dan, is it takes much longer for the carrots to soften, compared to the other vegetables....
