My wife does all the gardening. Tonight is our first harvest of brassica and leaf lettuce.

Very, very nice! Is that in your yard or a communal garden spot?

Doc, raised beds save a bit on your back, the soil you put in them is usually much better and rock-free, and it's easier to turn over year after year.

I'm envious!

After I took these pictures the mrs planted the rest of her tomatoes in the planter bags. This is a first using these bags and will be interesting to see if they work.

I use the cloth bags on a lot of my plants.
You can't over water, which is a good
thing. I also plant in the dirt. I have a rototiller
attachment for my battery drill. Sometimes I mix
Perlight, and potting or garden soil. into both
the cloth bags, or the ground, My Rototiller drill
mixes everything up well.

This year’s tomatoes are done… Nancy and I picked all the tomatoes and will sack them in the garage to ripen. Tonight I’ll have the big tiger stripe with my collage cheese and save seeds for next year. I should save big Roma seeds, as well.
