BarBistro

They changed up the menu a bit. I had the Portuguese Seafood Stew which was loaded with halibut, mussels, scallops, prawns, chorizo, and topped with fried potatoes. Nancy had a spicy hot pork cheek and pappadelle dish which she loved.

She decided she wanted to go to BarBistro which was fine with me. She was working all day on organizing her art studio and I had a long day at the gun club then shopping at the commissary.

I had the house made fettuccini with fillet mignon and Gorgonzola with a side of crab and French fries. Nancy had the halibut rissoto with added wild Pacific Northwest mushrooms. It was all excellent and had leftovers to bring home.

Ann and Andy wanted to dine here tonIght. I wanted the Portuguese seafood stew but is off menu for a while. I settled for the ribeye and wasn’t disappointed. The crab bisque was excellent, never had it before.

Tonight we stopped at Jack’s BBQ on the way home from John and Meg’s. We’ve driven by 100’s of times and finally stopped. I liked it, she wasn’t wowed. I ordered two meals, catfish and ribs. She got a half chicken, ate some of the breast and saved the leftover for another recipe. I ate one fish fillet and a couple of ribs. The sides were very good.

The salsa was HOT!
