Ooo! I just made Marry Me Chicken for the first time last week and loved it! Would like Nancy's recipe for the soup. Did she put pasta in it or no?

Today’s lunch was Norwegian sardines in olive oil.

I use a seafood fork. I do have a sterling sardines fork in the gun safe.
Out to lunch with Christine to the Rising Eagle Publick House, which felt like a pub in the late 1700's (I imagine, lol!) Great atmosphere, excellent staff. I had the lamb and feta burger with tzatgiki, and an amber ale. Christine had the pulled pork sandwich and a vodka tonic.
They had the fireplace going - so nice!

How was the lamb burger? I never see it on a menu out here.
Well, it was just okay, John. I ordered it because it was different and I love everything in it. But it was a tad dry and short on the tzatziki.
I would make it better!

Today’s brunch… was Chicken of the Sea lightly smoked sardines with watermelon radish and dried mango for dessert. The sardines were good and hope to find more.
I'm having air fried fish sticks and crispy green beans for late lunch/early dinner.
Jules surprised me last night, by telling me she picked up a shift, only if we could be together
So she's bringing snacks and I'm bringing a small fresh mixed fruit bowl from Chief supermarket for the 1am break.

I occasionally make lamb burgers. The trick is to keep them pink. If you overcook them, they are very dry.

Lunch was a big slice of crust less pumpkin pie made with fresh pie pumpkins Nancy cooked and froze ahead. It’s quite good and will do this again.

Today lunch at my gun club was smoked salmon, elk burger, brat, and pheasant. I had pheasant stew, as well, but neglected to photo it. It was very good. There were several pheasant pies but was to full to eat any. The crock potted pheasant was good, too. My German potato salade was a hit. The pheasants were farm raised, then released in shooting areas around the state. I don’t do that anymore due to no dog and can’t walk that far over tough terrain. They do taste the same as wild birds. Nancy and I made the potato salade this morning. I brought some home…
