Lunch At the gun club. The word got out and was well attended. I shot well, too.

Today is another bbq at the gun club then quarterly meeting.
Went out to lunch with a friend this afternoon. I had an excellent haddock sandwich (didn't eat the roll) and Christine had a monster turkey BLT.
The seasoned fries were wonderful, and I did eat some of those. Gave the rest to Christine to take home.
And a Blue Moon.

They had another bbq at the gun club today. They put a new bottle of propane on the grill and for some reason the fire was super hot - burger was 80/20 - and the flames were two feet high. The charred burgers were okay.

A few weeks ago my daughter in law’s sister passed away. Today the buried her remains at the national cemetery with her husband. Afterwards the family met at our local Presbyterian church where she’d been a member. They put on a big buffet and was invited for that. I ate lightly as we are going to Marzano’s this evening. One of Meg’s nephew's is a bbq chef in Walla Walla and made pulled pork and brisket and has his own line of bbq sauces. It was all good.
I made a spinach salad to have for lunch.
The dressing is smoky mustard, honey and a little Worcestershire sauce.

Late lunch is grilled cheese with bacon fried with mayonnaise and bacon grease. Tasty!

We went to Heber for gas and stopped a a Black Rife coffee shop, the first I’ve seen. I got a Combat Kolache which consisted of a spicy cheese Polish sausage and a pretzel bun. It was okay. Needed mustard.

Today my lunch at Heber dairy was a grilled cheddar on sourdough with a cup of tomato basil soup. The basil was overpowering and soup almost like marinara. The sandwich was excellent.

Nancy got this at Smith’s. I had four and was stuffed.
I took a friend out to lunch for Mexican today, as thanks for taking care of my cat when I went visiting for an overnight.
This place was the first one I've found in decades that made the Chile Rellenos stuffed with melty cheese that I love! The servings were enormous and I could only eat one of the rellenos (took home the other).
Excellent warm chips, salsa and margaritas!
