What are you eating Sunday 9/1/2024 to Saturday 9/7/2024?

Today I'm putting a chuck roast, carrots, potatoes, onions and celery in the crock pot.
I believe it's a recipe I've done before, with the three dry seasoning packets.
Good Seasons Italian dressing, Hidden Valley Ranch and McCormick Brown gravy.
How many hours do you cook it for? High or low setting?

Thank you. My instant pot has a slow cooker option. I want to try this, and hopefully it will come out as good as yours.

Same recipe basically, but today I'm adding the extra vegs.
Also subbed the water with beef broth.

Yep, delicious as usual.
7 hours on low in the crock pot.

I had told my nursing friend Carmen about this on Wednesday night at work, she said omg yes!
Tagged her on Facebook and she's going to make it too 😊
Those seasoning packets are like the holy trinity for this.
I'll be eating the leftovers for a few days, that's for sure.
Look Lucky, another new plate lol

Found some Frozen Scallops at ALDI that were a little less outrageous
than the usual... Alas, I already had 'em in a non-stick before I remembered that
I don't get a very good sear in non-stick... Should'a dug out the cast iron...
Still, they were awesome, and I sure have missed 'em ...

Seared Scallops
Boiled Rice w/ a Teriyaki Drizzle
Steamed Brussels sprouts

Very respectable sear, LT - lovely dinner! I'm so looking forward to brussels sprouts this Fall!

I just bought a chuck roast on sale today, but tossed it in the freezer. Lora, did the 3 packets make the dish very salty?

NO supper tonight. Well, actually, not yet.
Lunch was a tuna salad sandwich. A half sour garlic pickle on the side.
I think I'll have an egg salad sandwich. Tina made a shepherds pie. I don't prefer that. Potatoes in the pie, are too much carbs for me.
I was detoured, so I had the egg salad, with green onions on the side to nibble on.

While my tomatoes are taking their time getting ripe, I've been buying some heirlooms. I bought my first heirloom ripe green tomato variety to try and love it! Delicious! I'd attempt to grow this variety but wouldn't know when to harvest it.

Anyway, I chopped it up to top my grilled Ichiban eggplants with cheeses.

Grilled Italian sausages, peppers and onions.
