We just ate, and I am ready to bust! It is son Jimmy's birthday today, and we made his favorite Angel hair spaghetti, fried breaded chicken cutlets, and his favorite dessert of cannoli's from "Mikes Pastries" from Boston...... Oh So Good. They are the best we had ever tasted.

Web had split pea soup that Tina made. We had a frozen ham bone to add flavor to the soup
She made 8 quarts of it, and I asked her if she was having the neighborhood over for the soup. LOL ..... Dessert was blueberry pie she picked up at the local farm stand.
Supper started with a bowl of garden salad greens. Then, a box of potato pancakes mix.
They came out great, but they really caused a lot of frying spatter all over the stove, and
some on the floor.
We are sorta finally getting back to cooking some half way decent meals on a daily basis.
The living room was a mess while doing new walls and chair rail updates.

Supper tonight will be Italian seasoned steaks ( garlic powder & oregano ) sliced thinly and fried. Mashed potatoes with a large dollop of butter to melt inside the mound of potato's.
Had steamed vegetable dumplings for brunch today for lunch / brunch.
Supper will be mussels in a butter / wine and garlic broth, and a few unsalted crackers' to pretend it's Italian Bread.... :(
I always added thin sliced potatoes also, but I omitted them because I used a roll as my carbs on the diabetic diet I have to follow, and I didn't want any DAGGER EYE'S as I enjoyed the meal. Guess Who? ...... The two girls who live with me. I can't even sneak a cookie without DW and DD, and now...
Had the kids and grand kids over for supper. Good ole easy spaghetti and meatballs.
DD and DIL did the cooking.....which was good because all I did was cheat; drinking a couple shots of Irish whisky to mask some pain I have in my shoulder.
