Buzz had leftover lasagna.
I made a stir fry of leftover cabbage and kale salad, cremini mushrooms, onion and leftover pork loin. Out with the old, in with the NEW!

Nancy made something like that the other night with leftover steak. I’m going to turn the leftovers into chili.

We still have lots of cheese, olives, and smoked oysters. There is also leftover vegetarian enchiladas.

Yesterday, we went to the Pita House over in Battle Ground. I had the Fattoush Salad. I couldn't finish it, even with help from DH. Today, we had a bowl of Hoppin' John along with a side salad. I had a piece of cornbread too. DH had some Artisan bread. A good meal and now I'm starting on lasagna for dinner. Doing my favorite stuff...spending the day in the kitchen.

I forgot to mention.
Last night at work they had those deli vegetable pizzas, a tray of vegs and dip, and there was a fruit tray in the break room fridge.
Everything was picked over or left out, so I never bothered.

I have a Limited Edition bottle of Crown Royal I bought Aug 6, 1996 in Victoria, BC. Later that night I was informed by Victoria Police to call my brother and was told my father had passed away. I’ve never opened that bottle. It was a coincidence my brother passed away Aug 6, 2023.

Tonight’s 1st course was smoked Goose Point oysters, olives, and creamed herring - don’t know if I have room for the cheese course. The wine is a 2000 Matthews Syrah I opened last night, very good.

We had cabbage rolls/stuffed cabbage/Gołąbki with mashed potato tonight for dinner.

It was a small ham and potato's with beans. Breakfast was English muffin with butter and jelly.

The recipe makes a lot of sauce...so, I opted to make 2 pans of lasagna. We kept one and the other went to the couple across the street. She's like 8 months pregnant and they supply us with farm fresh eggs. We had our dinner and will still have 2 more dinners somewhere down the line. I'll pack up the overs for the freezer tomorrow. Oh, did I mention, YUM!
