Going to my son's for dinner, they're grilling steak.
LOL CONGRATS! Glad you had a lovely visit and dinner. It sounds wonderful.Porterhouse steak, baked potato, and a very nice tossed salad.
Took a nice drive north to Defiance Ohio to have dinner with my son Jeff and his soon to be new bride.
They've got a gorgeous place near the river.
Lovely warm day too.
Couldn't stay long as she had to get some sleep, as she works 3rd, at the same nursing home I did years ago when I lived there.
She's quite the cook.. and not a bad nurse either.
They say sons marry women whom they find similar in their Mothers.
You got it right this time, Jeff! LOL

Thanx Joe! .... Nice that you can do that.It all looks great Jimmy. Been eating leftovers this week trying to clean out the freezer, so I haven't cooked at all this week.
How do you feel peeps?LOL CONGRATS! Glad you had a lovely visit and dinner. It sounds wonderful.
Everything looks and sounds fantastic. I would love some of your leftovers Joe!!
My stomach feels jumpy so I just had some pastina with butter and shredded cheddar when I got home from work.
Thanks Jimmy. I been drinking tea with lemon and honey and soup but no toast. How do you feel peeps?
Can't be feeling too good if you eat pastina.
My Dr. Kit says eat Toast really browned, and tea when I get a cold.
Your stomach need a rest when you don't feel well.
Thats great Sass.....Thanks Peeps and Jimmy.
Emm.. I don't think she'll exactly be the Mom figure for Jeff..
Met her for the first time and had a chance to speak with her at my sister's funeral last January, Jimmy.
She is:
Bright, responsible, loving, caring and loves him for who he is, not what he can give her.
More importantly.. she adores my GD Kasey as her own.
Whole lotta stuff been going down betwixt him, the ex and all that.
He's pushing on with his new life and I am there to support him when I can.
The distance isn't that far..just wish they'd move down here!
I know what you mean Sass! Thanks Mama.
Peeps.. feel better!
Jimmy, I could destroy one of those KK powdered doughnuts right now..
Thank you and sweet dreams to you Lollie.Sleep well tonight Peeps and feel better.
It's time I got some sleep.. back on the 4 tomorrow.
DH is off today. I made a big breakfast....pork chops, eggs, hash browns, fried apples and biscuits ( I didn't have any buttermilk so I had to use some of my stash of Pillsbury frozen biscuits ). Now, it's off to vote! That should stop the political calls.
As they say..."Vote early and often." Oh, the calls will still come until Nov.6th. That will be our emancipation day from the politicians until the next election. Now, it's off to vote! That should stop the political calls.

Meatloaf sounds wonderful!! No clue what will be for dinner. Hub and dd want to go out for something. I have gotten to the point that NOTHING "out" appeals to mewould like meatloaf & potato w/ tomato gravy.
in reality, dinner is prolly gonna be snack foods- they're putting those ounces on me, gradually~
I made a Mediterranean pizza last night, and I have some dough left. I may make some mini pizza bases, parbake them, and freeze to use for lunches later. I've never done that but it should work.
