Gonna dry them in the oven, and then make into crushed and flaked hot pepper for us and the kids.... Cost $4.00 and there are like 12 haqbaneros she picked up for $1.00.

I'm ready for two Krispy Kreme glazed doughnuts with a nice coffee.

The Italian Raisin Bread in the background will be a late late night snack!

It all looks great Jimmy. Been eating leftovers this week trying to clean out the freezer, so I haven't cooked at all this week.

Porterhouse steak, baked potato, and a very nice tossed salad.
Took a nice drive north to Defiance Ohio to have dinner with my son Jeff and his soon to be new bride.
They've got a gorgeous place near the river.
Lovely warm day too.
Couldn't stay long as she had to get some sleep, as she works 3rd, at the same nursing home I did years ago when I lived there.
She's quite the cook.. and not a bad nurse either.
They say sons marry women whom they find similar in their Mothers.
You got it right this time, Jeff! LOL

LOL CONGRATS! Glad you had a lovely visit and dinner. It sounds wonderful.

Everything looks and sounds fantastic. I would love some of your leftovers Joe!!

My stomach feels jumpy so I just had some pastina with butter and shredded cheddar when I got home from work.

Great to hear you had a great time with son and future DIL.
God Bless them, and you!

Nice to know she will be the mom figure for your son.

How do you feel peeps?

Can't be feeling too good if you eat pastina.

My Dr. Kit says eat Toast really browned, and tea when I get a cold.

Your stomach need a rest when you don't feel well.

Thanks Jimmy. I been drinking tea with lemon and honey and soup but no toast.

Thanks Peeps and Jimmy.
Emm.. I don't think she'll exactly be the Mom figure for Jeff..
Met her for the first time and had a chance to speak with her at my sister's funeral last February, Jimmy.
She is:
Bright, responsible, loving, caring and loves him for who he is, not what he can give her.
More importantly.. she adores my GD Kasey as her own.
Whole lotta stuff been going down betwixt him, the ex and all that.
He's pushing on with his new life and I am there to support him when I can.
The distance isn't that far..just wish they'd move down here!

Thats great Sass.....

We've been there...done that with son too!

Glad you had a good time Sass.

Krispy Kreme......God is good!

Hope you get to feeling better Peepers...if your stomach is bothering you, a diet of bananas, rice, applesauce and toast works great along with some ginger ale.

We had fried shrimp, baked potatoes, salad and buttered Italian bread for dinner. I didn't get any pics.

Thanks Mama.
Peeps.. feel better!

Jimmy, I could destroy one of those KK powdered doughnuts right now..

I know what you mean Sass!

One thing. The powdered sugar gets all over the place, and on my clothes.
It surely is hard to deny eating one. It leaves a trail.
But don't worry....I licked up every crumb and trace of sugar!

She's the one, Aubrey. :)

Jimmy.. what was inside the powdered doughnut?
Fruity or custard?.. if you say custard, I'll go insane..:dizzy:
We have Krispy Kreme available local, but it's inside service station/quick marts. What they have varies.
Last time I got a custard filled and a coffee.
Pulled over and ate it at the park.
Sugar sprinkles and crumbs inside the car and on my clothes, but enjoyed every bite!

Sleep well tonight Peeps and feel better.
It's time I got some sleep.. back on the 4 tomorrow.

DH is off today. I made a big breakfast....pork chops, eggs, hash browns, fried apples and biscuits ( I didn't have any buttermilk so I had to use some of my stash of Pillsbury frozen biscuits ). Now, it's off to vote! That should stop the political calls.

As they say..."Vote early and often.":yum: Oh, the calls will still come until Nov.6th. That will be our emancipation day from the politicians until the next election.

Thanks Jimmy!

Last night was clean out the fridge night.

The big game (Georgia/Florida) is at 3:30 today so tonight I think it's going to be sliders. I'll make the buns in a little while and cut up some veggies early this afternoon (I'm still getting green peppers from my garden :w00t:). I'll throw some tater tots in the oven and fry up the burgers at halftime.....GO DAWGS!!!!!!

I'm not dead yet Joe :yum:.

I only had 1 call yesterday and so far today....fingers crossed....I haven't had any.....but it's still early.....

OH MAMA!!

BTW I have been getting cursed at and hung up on at work for 2 weeks now because they think I am a political call. I call to offer them the convenience of voting PROXIES over the phone. And ALL they hear is VOTE!! JEEZ!!

would like meatloaf & potato w/ tomato gravy.
in reality, dinner is prolly gonna be snack foods- they're putting those ounces on me, gradually~

Meatloaf sounds wonderful!! No clue what will be for dinner. Hub and dd want to go out for something. I have gotten to the point that NOTHING "out" appeals to me

I made a Mediterranean pizza last night, and I have some dough left. I may make some mini pizza bases, parbake them, and freeze to use for lunches later. I've never done that but it should work.

Cooksie...you can form the dough and freeze it without par-baking it.
I've done that several times.

Bacon Cheeseburger Sliders on homemade buns with tater tots and veggies! I steamed the buns before putting the sliders together. Great food for a great game!
