We are in the middle of a brunch for moms; all orchestrated by DD and DIL.
Egg casserole was my favorite.
Little Liam is enjoying it. He loves Taylor ham fried, and cut into strips.
It's a nice rainy day, and 42 F outside. We lit the pellet stove, and it is so good to see the flames. It sets up an appetite!

Well DD’s are going to see a movie. I don’t feel like cooking because my hands/fingers are aching. I did get my bread in the oven. Burned my thumb and almost dropped the pot. But I saved it. Yay! It’s in the oven.
Maybe I’ll have pecan raisin bread and tea for dinner.
Unless DD can pick something up from the prepared foods court at work.

DD decided to get KFC for dinner before they go to the movie.

My bread is out and calling to me. LOL :blob_blue:

Nice and soft with an airy crumb. Taste wonderful. I will toast a slice later.

I had a beautiful bourbon glazed ribeye on a bed of loaded garlic mashed potatoes with asparagus.
Creme brulee for dessert.
Thanks boys!

Wet burritos with chicken and green sauce (Tomatillos and Poblanos), red rice and refried black beans. My burrito fell apart removing from the pan. Didn't effect the flavor.

AS mom used to say when I was a kid, and something was broken in my dish,

"Eat it; cause it all gets broken up in your stomach anyway!"

I made a quick chicken soup (rotisserie chicken, carrot, celery heart, onion, homemade soup meatballs I had in freezer and Swanson chicken stock) topped with fresh grated cheeses and toasted pecan raisin bread.
No pictures.

Porky Pig Fest...

Accidentally took pork out again this a.m. - Oh, Well....... I guess I saved that Sausage Gravy for a reason !

Air Fryer Pork loin Chop, White Rice with Leftie Sausage Gravy, Copped Spinach with Bacon, and a Lettuce Slab, also topped with Bacon...

Couldn't decide on which way to present it , so....

Nothing to write home about. Spaghetti and a meatball. 2 plates of garden salad. A Boston cream filled doughnut with chocolate glaze icing.
Tina picked us up two from Giancarlo's Bakery in Succasunna.

No clue yet what to cook for supper.
Tina mom is on her way back from shopping at Hornings markets and others
in Lancaster county PA. She always manages to pick up swell things to eat.
Just love the PA Dutch food.
Just got a call from her......she's bringing home fried crispy chicken for supper.
We'll just pop it in the toaster oven to heat it. Sounds good to me! We shall see.

Thanks for the inspiration, Jimmy.
It's already going on 5pm and no idea or suggestions for dinner.
KFC is right down the street.
See how easy that was?

I've a 4 lb boneless pork loin thawing.
Potatoes, onions, carrots and Brussels sprouts will keep it company in the roasting pan.

Last night we all had Tomato salad (sliced grape tomatoes, fresh mozzarella pearls, crushed fresh garlic cloves, fresh basil chiffonade, red wine vinegar, extra virgin olive oil and house blend seasoning) with Italian bread to dip in dressing.

I'm very pleased with the pork loin.
Nice crust.
The vegs look colourless.
And, I forgot to put the carrots in!
It's been that kind of day.

I had to laugh.... when you mentioned bread to dip into the juices.
I remember my grandfather ( as he told the story ) sat down for dinner of spaghetti. As he was eat the spaghetti, one of the kids there, took a tear of bread; ( they don't slice bread ) and dipped it into grandfathers dish!
OMG! ....Grand pop said, "No No, in America, we no dunka the bread ina to someone else's dish!" hahahahahaha....

And Grandpa was a mr. neat and clean!
