What are you eating Sunday, 8/31/2025 to Saturday, 9/6/2025?

Today I'll be making a retro recipe.
My Grams Hoosier Stew.
Smoked sausage (I'm using chicken apple sausages) potatoes, green beans,onions, chicken broth (no additional water added) and she always melted butter into the pot.
Oh yes indeedy!
Tastes EXACTLY like hers 😍
Warm buttered Ciabatta for dipping.

I will never be able to duplicate this sauce, but it was so good. Hot Italian sausage with peppers, mushrooms, onions, garlic, okra, and tomatoes, a bit of red wine...um....a tablespoon of tomato paste....over penne pasta. Parm topped it at the table. Most of the veggies were from the garden!

Is okra difficult to grow? How many plants do you have? I love okra but the storebought stuff is old!

Farmer's Market today. I bought a small stalk of brussels sprouts to steam (they did not taste any different from storebought) and a gooey cheese-filled arancini to have with the last of my Ah-So country ribs.

Loved the arancini, but was very filling - I ate half.
