We got to Peterborough late and were famished. We got our key to hotel then went to the Batam Grill right before they closed. They were more than happy to serve us and were tipped accordingly. I have to say it was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had and maple salade we shared was excellent. Each burger must have started out at 1/2 pound or more. I should have gotten a better picture but was ready to eat. Oh, and the joes were laced with truffle oil and crispy. ❤️

We had a roast chicken, dressing, mashed potatoes, squash, and mixed vegetable.
My wife’s niece wanted a holiday type meal since my wife’s sister was in a nursing
home and they didn’t have a Christmas dinner. I neglected to take a snap. After dish
clean up we came back to hotel.

Craig would go gaga over that short rib dish!

Pasta with roasted golden beets, caramelized onions, garlic, beet greens, pine nuts and ParmR. We haven't had this in ages. Sorry I forgot to take a pic before I started eating.

It was good. There was carrot and parsnips in a wonderful au jus. I had the truffle joes on the side but should have stuck with the mashed potatoes.

I'm going to take a little trip today to a place called Brown Bag market.
They have lovely Boar's Head deli meats, Amish cheeses, fry pies, homemade deli salads...
That could determine dinner today.

I don't know what a fry pie is, but I'm pretty sure I want one.
