Happy Thanksgiving to all!
Omg that's beautiful!I made all the trimmings. But I cooked smaller amounts, 1/2 turkey breast, 1 potato to mash, I small rutabaga, etc.

You don't celebrate Thanksgiving?Have the house to myself, a rare treat. Made tuna on seeded rye around 4. Yum!
Ham balls, cheese potatoes, dressing with vegetarian gravy, cranberries and a green…

My mom was friend’s with the sheriff’s wife and she got the recipe from her. They are popular in Iowa.John, is that your brother's recipe for ham balls? Or am I thinking of something else?
Edit: I just found your original thread about them stating your Mother used to make them for holidays.
Way too much, and it generated a lot of leftovers. I'm ready for simple food like a hot dog now. Turkey left over I wont eat, but the kids love turkey and the trimmings; so they can knock their selves eating it again.
I was going to make biscuits and gravy this morning but passed as i would be the only one eating it.One thing is for sure...
No chicken, no turkey, or nothing carb heavy today.
Had steamed veggie dumplings for breakfast, and supper will be hot dogs.
That looks great Lee!I had a ton more stuffing that I couldn't fit in the bird yesterday, so today I put the rest of the stuffing in a pan topped with Mom's baked chicken wings to get the drippings into the stuffing. Into the oven for an hour and 15 minutes. I mixed this stuffing in with the in-bird stuffing for a later meal. Kathy took home all the mashed potatoes and gravy and cranberry sauce, and half of the turkey, wings and stuffing.
I had two of the wings tonight with a simple salad.
