What are you eating Sunday, 1/11/2026 to Saturday, 1/17/2026?

The bagel experiment continues....so more bagels so far. Someone bought himself a bagel board.

Had a package of 2 thin pork chops, made some stuffing to put on top of them, covered with mushroom soup. Not bad - very filling!

I did steam the broccolini and was not impressed. More bland flavor than broccoli, so I don't see the point.

Looks good, Lee.
I think the thing with broccolini is it tends to make a plate look "fancier".
Yours does, but if the flavour isn't there, heck I wouldn't bother.

I have some herbs growing in my hydroponic garden...and the dill needed some trimming. ;) So, I made a dinner that would lean into the dill. Chicken, Spinach+ salad and Pita bread. OMG! I need to make this dinner more often. Yum!

Well, I'm eating early again, because I missed both breakfast and lunch, mostly because of being busy between running back and forth to work. I helped with the med pass after lunch.
We have 2 employees tested positive for covid, we continue to lose residents by the number due to the super flu, which is spiking here in Ohio, as well as many other states.

I sat with "Ron" for a while because he's actively dying.
We are now back to mandated once a week covid testing.
Ugh 😞

The plan is fish, pasta and asparagus. Fish is Halibut and it will be baked. Pasta is Pasta-Roni, a new kind to me. Asparagus will be pan roasted. Oh, and I made bread in the bread machine (DH isn't well today and I thought the smell would be comforting.) And I'm baking a cake. Hoping to divide it up and freeze some, cuz we can't eat a whole cake!

Lovely weather here today with a high of 55°F and no rain in sight. Tonight was spaghetti squash with my home made marinara from home canned tomatoes and factory made meatballs. The salad was leftover from Saturday night with a tasteless Dijon and honey dressing from Walden Farms. I'll jazz up the rest of the dressing with quality Dijon mustard. Rhubarb pie needed some real ice cream.
