What are you doing today?

Glorious beach day! Raucous surf, thanks to hurricane Erin.

I've gotta say, I've enjoyed not working on Saturday night.
For the first time in months it's been glorious having an entire weekend off.
I'm back at it tomorrow night on the trade I did with Carmen, then again on Thursday when Jules and I are finally together again on the behavioral unit.

I'm sure that you are a good doobee by filling in for everyone who wants Saturday nights off, but you deserve those nights off, too!

Hey Sass, how are you enjoying your 'retirement'?

This afternoon around 2pm, I was coming back from the grocery store.
This guy in a car was flying up and down the street nearly hitting others in the traffic lane.
I saw him hit a beam that runs in front of one of our muffler shops.

I drove up there and waited while others stopped and started gathering around.
I could see him raising his head off the steering wheel and it was covered in blood.
I'm pretty sure he had a seizure at the wheel.

Another person said I got this, then said I'm calling 911.
I said tell them there is a nurse on the scene.
This is the 3rd time in my life where I've been a first responder.
-Back in 2006 at the mall in Lima, Ohio when a person had a heart attack and I started CPR.
- Then a road accident out on Elida road outside of Delphos.

Needless to say, today left me a bit shaken.

Nurses don't always have that preparation.
Today I didn't really, but I'm glad I was there.
All things considered.
I have his details to check on his condition through my friends at Henry County emergency services.

My 20- something neighbour kid, Leo asked me if I wanted these.
He works at the Campbell's plant.
Ummm OK, so what am I supposed to do with all these jars?? 😄
I'm thinking Dr. Lantzy is thinking the same thing, as is April and whoever else he gifted lol
If you're employed at Campbell's, there is a store where Veterans as well as employees can receive from overstock or whatever reason.
I'm not crazy about Prego, I always buy Bertolli.
Maybe I'll donate them to St. Auggie's food pantry.

Great idea!

This came today. It’s a well loved hard cover, 3rd printing 1964, that was formally a library book from Silver Springs Shores, FLORIDA. Amazon charged me 7 bucks for it. I’ll read a section a day…. I just finished book 10 in the Louise Penny “Gamache” series and 4 more were delivered today. I got the new C.B. Strike book, as well but saving it for later. I’ve read over 20 books since coming down with the Afib.
