What are you doing today?

Yesterday and today I am recovering from an attack of vertigo. No fun folks. Good thing that the rest of the family is self sufficient. Except for the doctor visit I spent both days in bed. Feeling a lot better now.
I hate that feeling. I have had that several times and it really stinks. Glad you feel better.

leni, get well. my Pap used to have issues w/ the ears & fluid was 1 of them. he'd get so unbalanced/dizzy.

mainly have cleaned, got a visit fer a few, waited on the postal guy to return a phone, watched the pretty snow, waiting to see if the guy can get here this evening- a few closed bridges & 'at may make that a challenge-, & getting dinner thoughts together.

Thanks everyone. I feel a lot better as far as the vertigo goes but then my blood pressure decided to drop to 70/63. I spent most of the day in the ER. Doc increased my dose and it was just too much.

Went to the lady doc this morning. Seems I have a bad ear infection on the left side and bad stuff in the right lung. Ear hurt almost 2 weeks ago and the glands in the neck have been taking turns from side to side hurting. She hopes it is not from the leukemia which I get a bone marrow draw this coming Friday in Rochester for them to look at. My cell counts are off again so hard to say.

Thanks Mama. Looks like we are going to have a big warm up this week. But first we need a few more inches of snow topped with freezing rain. Just hope it clears up before Friday. They get some crazy snow up near Rochester at times. When I was up there a year ago for a marrow draw it snowed like crazy on the way back home. Today I need to take the skid steer and push some more of the woodpile over to the boiler. Getting too old and worn out for carrying it too far. Burned a good bit keeping the greenhouses warm during this real cold weather. Wife will be starting garden plants soon so they will be ready to put out early.

For some reason I have a headache today:

Yep, going to re-tile. Difficult decision, but I think it works best for my house.

Went up to the town hall and paid my taxes. OUCH Then stayed in the house and did some housework. Too damn windy and cold with snow flying to be outside long. When I fed the chickens you could hear my building creaking and rattling in the wind gusts. (51 mph) Got 2 trees down along my field.

I'll be painting baseboards this afternoon and probably tomorrow afternoon and probably the afternoon after that.....ugh.

I'm still trying to finish up my flooring project. I've got about 2/3 of the grout sealed and am going to try to knock out the last 1/3 this evening. One of these days I'll be finito .

Have a few things to do with the skid steer this morning. Held off doing it yesterday as it got real sloppy with the snow melting. Thought it would freeze but we only got down to 37. Need to get it done as they want rain for Monday. With the warm up I need to get manure and wood ashes on the garden. Won't be long and it will be time to till it up.

I just brewed a wonderful pot of coffee. I mixed a blend of beans - southern pecan, macademia nut, chocolate hazel nut and coconut. Nothing better than a pot of fresh ground coffee. Dentist appointment then I want to do some shopping. There is an Japanese Marketplace a couple towns over from my dentist I would like to check out. It looks/sounds interesting. I will have to drop hub off first. My dd and I like checking new places out.

Pretty neat place, Peeps! I could probably spend hours in there.

Here's my little project. I did the kitchen/dining area, a full bath, a 1/2 bath, laundry room, storage room, and front entry. It was a horrible, horrible dusty mess, but I'm happy now.

My plain jane backsplash that I just love. I was so happy to get rid of the fruit. And my Keurig  I watched the guy putting this in, and I've got myself convinced that I could have done it. The only tricky part was measuring/cutting the small pieces.

Already contemplating my next project :brows:

We couldn't get near the place. It was packed.

Very beautiful house cooksie. Good job.

That's just beautiful Cooksie! If you put that floor down, I have no doubt you could have easily done that backsplash too. :applause:

I have done a bunch of tile work over the years. Anymore my knees can't take it. That looks good but I want to see the pics in a week or 2 when you have all the other stuff on the counters.:D I keep threatening to clear mine of the candles and pet treats etc. What is worse is when she has the dehydrator out along with the vac sealer and the kitchen aid mixer. You will like the tile as it holds up well over time. Just have to reseal it every couple of years.

Thanks y'all, but I don't think I worded that right . I didn't actually install the tile myself. I had a tile installer do it. I wish I had the ability to do that. It would have saved me a bunch.

I hear you on the knees, MM. I have some of those knee pads, but just all the up and down and scooting along from painting the baseboards was a killer.

Great kitchen cooksie. Makes no difference who did it. Its beautiful and its yours.

I got wood and started glue UPS for a rocking horse for my wife's grandson. Got groceries for corned beef dinner, made homemade Bailey's, made humus and made tabouli.

Time to kick back.

Went to the garden yesterday and worked there for almost three hours. We planted some thornless blackberry bushes, cleared areas for planting tomatoes etc in a few days.

Today I'm cooking corned beef with all of the trimings. Cats got knots in his fur. Got to comb him and hopefully no clawmarks as a result. One of the mats is really large.
