I baked a cake.
A Pillsbury caramel apple cake mix, with buttercream frosting.
I was going to buy the caramel frosting, but thought it would be tooooo much.

Gee, guess who had the first piece?

I just baked a pan of Betty Crocker milk chocolate brownies.
We're having these a la mode for dessert later.
I added 1/2 c chopped walnuts to the mix.

Thank you Lee. I winged it on amounts and they worked. It's nice when I work up a new recipe and it turns out good.

I scaled down my full recipe for cheesecake by half. I made 4 mini cheesecakes. I used my Cuisinart 10 oz. (1 1/2 C.) Dutch oven servers. I buttered the sides and bottom then put a parchment circle in bottom and buttered the top of the paper. I added cinnamon to the crust and DD wanted cinnamon cheesecake so I added cinnamon to 1 of the cakes. This is a first timer. I hope I can get them out of the pans.




If I can get them out and they look nice I'll post a picture. LOL

Well it was really difficult to remove from the pan. Not sure I'll do it again.

I reworked my mom's Pizzagaina (Italian Easter Meat Pie) recipe. I made 8 mini (5") pies.
I can't wait to cut one.

curiously, I'm baking grits tonight. Shrimp and cheese grits . . .
calls for stove top boil followed by baking into something similar to cornbread.
going to be an interesting dinner.
